Day 3 - SIGGRAPH 2006

Another busy day.

Attended a "Computational Photography" course and then another Interactive Classroom on podcasting in the Guerilla Studio. The session was called "Podcasting Emptiness Into a Sea of Fullness for a Moment of Rest" and it was run by, Daniel Peltz, a professor from the Rhode Island School of Design. Participants were given cameras and media access passes and we were sent out to video tape the silent and dark spaces at the conference (not an easy task). When everyone had returned to the classroom we compiled our videos into one podcast which will be broadcast on the SIGGRAPH site. The end result was beautiful.

Afterwards, took in the other half of the Emerging Technologies displays. Then the keynote address, a panel discussion on "Digital Rights and Restrictions" (intense) in the afternoon.

Gotta go get dolled up for the big cyber fashion show at the Roxy tonight. I'll post some video tomorrow.
